what makes a good dart set?Does tungsten make them more accurate?
I'm thinking of buying a dart set for my boyfriend for Xmas, I know he likes the long soft tip darts that are a lighter than 20 grams. But there are so many different brands. I'm leaning towards the piranha razor grip set 90% tungsten. let me know if this is a wise choice.
The material darts are made of does not directly affect their accuracy. Unless your boyfriend is a professional, I suspect the biggest accuracy factor is his arm!
Tungsten is a heavy metal and therefore it can be used to make slimmer darts for each weight. Slim darts are generally preferred because you can get them closer together (more in the bullseye!).
Although the darts manufacturers may tell you differently, there is not much difference between them for the casual player. I personally like something that has a good grip (i.e. doesn't slip in my hand) and some pretty flights, of course!
